As you can tell, we are a small group trying to stop a monstrous problem.
Two things we know you probably need are psychotherapy to help you heal from your trauma, and an attorney to help you sue those officials responsible for your victimization.
Since you are confined, you will have to rely on a therapist in your correctional facility.
You might show the therapist this letter and the enclosed material especially the sheet on rape trauma syndrome to impress upon him or her, among other things, that you are in contact with an organization working to stop this abuse.
Something for you and your therapist to remember is that rape is torture and as such is severely debilitating.
Latest research indicates there might be permanent brain damage from such trauma as sexual assault.
Prisoner rape also violates civil as well as human rights. So this is very a very serious matter.
For an attorney, we recommend you contact the American Civil Liberties Union and/or the American Bar Association. These two organizations generally have offices in most large cities or at least in state capitals.
Again, tell them about us and how we can help them with your case. Incidents of prisoner rape are sometimes classified as "deliberate indifference cases" in which authorities may be held responsible.
